Osprey Village is a newer riverfront village in south Pitt Meadows overlooking the Fraser River. It is a small, walkable mixed-use community with dikes and a waterfront park.

Location & boundaries

It sits in south Pitt Meadows on the Fraser River near the Golden Ears Bridge, below the Bonson area, on former farmland and mill-site land.

History

Once farmland and later a mill site, the area was redeveloped over the past decade or so; a community association formed in 2011, and a 2009 land-use plan allowed live-work units along the main street with a riverside community hall serving as an event and conference space.

Lifestyle

It is a walkable riverfront destination popular with cyclists and families, with small shops and cafés but limited everyday services.
