Location & boundaries

In the District of West Vancouver on Burrard Inlet, it runs roughly from 13th to 19th Street between the waterfront and Fulton Avenue, just west of the Lions Gate Bridge and Park Royal.

History

Ambleside was West Vancouver's original commercial hub; municipal ferry service to Vancouver ran from its waterfront from 1909 until 1947, and the 1913 Ferry Building survives as a heritage art gallery.
