Brookswood is a quiet, heavily treed residential community in southwest Langley Township known for larger lots and a mature tree canopy. It has a suburban-rural character with small local commercial nodes.

Location & boundaries

It occupies the west side of the Township south of the Nicomekl River, roughly between 200 and 208 Streets and around 24 to 40 Avenue, bordering the City of Surrey to the west and the City of Langley to the north.

History

The community developed through the mid-20th century, and its civic centre opened in 1973; the recreation centre was later renamed the George Preston Recreation Centre in 2005.

Lifestyle

Day to day it is established, leafy and family-oriented, with generous lots giving it a spacious feel.
