Location & boundaries

It runs along Quayside Drive on the north bank of the Fraser below the downtown ridge, west of the SkyTrain stations. Downtown lies immediately inland.

History

The waterfront shifted from working shipping terminals and a public market to a residential and recreational area from the 1980s, with the Westminster Quay market opening for Expo 86.
