Bradner is a rural, agricultural community in northwest Abbotsford best known for its daffodil farms and the long-running Bradner Flower Show. It retains a strongly farming character.

Location & boundaries

It sits in northwest Abbotsford between Aberdeen to the south and the Matsqui and Mount Lehman areas, in the rolling farmland west of the city.

History

First settled in 1887 by Robert K. Nicholl, it gained a post office in 1912 and became a stop on the British Columbia Electric Railway interurban line. Dutch-immigrant growers established its flower-farming tradition, and the annual flower show dates to 1928.
