Canyon Heights is an established west-side residential neighbourhood on the upper slopes above the Capilano River, known for detached homes and easy access to major North Shore outdoor attractions.

Location & boundaries

It lies in the northwest District of North Vancouver, above Edgemont Village along the Capilano River corridor, running toward Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

History

Like several neighbouring west-side areas, Canyon Heights was developed largely in the late 1940s and 1950s, originally with bungalow- and rancher-style houses.

Lifestyle

It is a settled, family-oriented and outdoorsy area, with many residents drawn by quick access to trails and skiing.
