Arbour Lake is a northwest Calgary community built around a private man-made lake, the only lake community in that quadrant of the city.

Location & boundaries

It sits in northwest Calgary, bounded by Country Hills Boulevard to the north, Crowchild Trail to the south, Nose Hill Drive to the east and Stoney Trail to the west. Neighbouring communities include Royal Oak, Citadel, Hawkwood, Ranchlands, Tuscany, Scenic Acres and Silver Springs.

History

The community was established in 1992 and named after Arbor Lake in Newport Beach, California.

Lifestyle

It is a family-oriented suburb whose residents have private lake access for swimming, boating and winter skating.
