Brentwood is an established northwest residential community next to the University of Calgary, built mainly in the 1960s.

Location & boundaries

It sits in northwest Calgary, bounded by John Laurie Boulevard to the north, Crowchild Trail to the south, Shaganappi Trail to the west and Brisebois and Charleswood Drives to the east. The University of Calgary lies to the southwest.

History

The community was established in 1960 and developed as a post-war suburb.
