Aspen Woods is an upscale residential community on Calgary's western edge, known for large single-family homes and a cluster of private schools.

Location & boundaries

It sits in southwest Calgary west of Sarcee Trail, near 17th Avenue SW and Bow Trail, on land annexed to the city in 1956. It adjoins West Springs, Springbank Hill, Coach Hill and Strathcona Park.

History

It was established as a community in 2001 on land annexed in 1956, and developed largely through the 2000s.
