Springbank Hill is a large hillside suburb on Calgary's western edge, made up of several distinct subdivisions with mountain views. It is an established, family-oriented residential area.

Location & boundaries

It sits in the southwest near the western city limit, bounded by 17th Avenue SW to the north, Stoney Trail to the south, 69th Street SW to the east and 101st Street SW to the west, with neighbours including Aspen Woods, Signal Hill, West Springs and Discovery Ridge.

History

The community was established in 1999 on land annexed to Calgary in 1994, and it is sometimes confused with the older rural community of Springbank to the west.

Lifestyle

It is a family-oriented suburb of tree-lined streets and multiple subdivisions, including Springborough and The Slopes, with quick access to the mountains.
